According to relevant publishing laws and regulations and academic journal codes of practice, the Journal of High Pressure Physics adopts the three-review method combined with single-blind peer review. The whole review process includes four parts: preliminary review by editor, peer review, second review by editor, and editorial decision.
1. Preliminary review by the editor: The manuscript is first reviewed by the editor to determine whether the content conforms to the scope of the journal, whether it is scientific, advanced and innovative, whether the format meets the requirements of the journal, and whether there is any academic misconduct (screening for plagiarism by AMLC service in CNKI Web).
2. Peer review: Single blind review is implimented.According to the content of the manuscript, the manuscript will be sent to reviewers in the corresponding field for peer review. The reviewers are selected from the public database, and two or more experts are generally selected. The selection is based on an comprehensively consideration of the academic level, reputation, academic impartiality, quality of review reports, review speed and other factors. If one of the reviewers does not respond for a long time, the editor will select another reviewer.
3. Second review by editor: The editor will review the article according to the opinions given by the experts during the peer review process, decide whether to return the manuscript to the author for modification or reject it, and feedback the peer review comments to the author. The author should read the review report carefully, revise the submitted manuscript according to the review comments, reply to all the review comments and suggestions, and mark the revisions. If the author has any disagreement with the reviewer's opinion, clear explanation should be given. Authors need to submit the revised manuscripts in the system.
4. Editorial decision: The editorial director makes the final decision on whether to accept the manuscript or not based on the expert review report and the author's revised manuscript.
The review time of manuscripts depends on many factors, such as the response time of peer experts, the workload of editors, the response time and the manuscript revision time of authors. However, the journal strives to complete the review process of manuscripts in the shortest time and publish the accepted articles in the shortest time.
