Publication Ethics Issues

Chinese Journal of High Pressure Physics dedicates to report innovative, high-level and significant research results in the basic theory and applied research of high pressure physics discipline in a timely manner. The journal follows generally accepted publication ethics, pays attention to academic integrity, and resolutely resist academic misconduct. Multiple submission and redundant publication are not allowed. Plagiarism and fraudulent data are prohibited. Once academic misconduct is discovered and verified, the editorial department will issue a withdrawal statement, delete all database information of the paper, and terminate its dissemination.

The authors, reviewers and editors of the journal shall perform the following duties and comply with other relevant regulations and requirements of Chinese Journal of High Pressure Physics.

Author's Responsibilities:

1. The author must confirm the content originality of the manuscript, and ensure that the article has not been published in any language in whole or in part in other places, and there is no academic misconduct such as plagiarism, forgery, falsification, and improper signature.

2. The content of the manuscript should meet the scope and the submission requirements of Chinese Journal of High Pressure Physics. Peer review can be carried out, and original data must be provided if necessary.

3. It should be ensured that the manuscript does not involve state secrets, and the non-confidential certification materials with the seal of the corresponding unit should be provided.

4. It should be ensured that there is no dispute over the attribution of the research results and the authorship of the article. All signed authors should be those who have made sufficient contributions to the research. All the authors are agree to sign Copyright Transfer Agreement of the journal.

5. All sources of data used in the study should be identified, and publications that have had an impact in the research work must be cited.

6. The project, group or individual funding the research should be stated.

7. If errors are found in the published paper, author should notify the editorial department in time, and cooperate with editors to publish errata or withdraw the paper.

Reviewer's Responsibilities:

1. The reviewer has no interest relationship or conflic of interest with the research work, the authors and the funders of the manuscript under review, otherwise, the editorial department should be notified in time, and the review should be terminated.

2. Respect and accept different academic viewpoints, and do not judge manuscripts based on personal preferences. Review comments should only depend on the academic indicators themselves, and should not be affected by other factors (such as gender, race, religion, nation, institution, interest, etc.). Review comments should be objective, fair, detailed, and grounded on facts.

3. Alert editors of possible conflict of interest (confusion and conflict arising from economy, institution, or other factors) in manuscript reviewed.

4. If you find that the manuscript has multiple submissions, suspected plagiarism, etc., inform the editor in time.

5. If you feel that the manuscript review cannot be completed within the prescribed time, inform the editor in time so that other reviewers can be designated.

6. Respect the authors' work and the article’s attribution. Plagiarism or disclosure of the author's work before publication is strictly prohibited.

Editor's Responsibilities:

1. When organizing peer review, you should avoid the reviewers with relevant interests and the specific reviwers upon author's reasonable request.

2. According to the review comments and the peer review comments, make the acceptance, rejection and revision decision of the manuscript. The editor must have no interest or conflict with the manuscript.

3. Notify the author of the decision of the manuscript on the processing in a timely manner, and truthfully convey the reviewer comments. Respond to the objections raised by the author in a timely manner, and communicate effectively until an agreement is reached.

4. Treat all manuscripts and authors equally, and make decision based on academic indicators only, not by other factors (such as gender, race, religion, nation, institution, interest, etc.).

5. Supervise manuscripts and possible academic misconduct during manuscript processing.

6. Respect and protect the privacy of authors and reviewers.

Withdrawal and Correction:

1. If there is clear evidence that there is an error making the conclusion of the manuscript untenable, or the article involves academic misconduct (such as plagiarism, plagiarism, multiple submissions, repeated publication, data falsification), or there is a dispute over the attribution of academic achievements, the editor should consider retraction.

2. If the article is misleading, even the misleading does not overturn the main conclusion of the article, the editor should consider publishing corrections.
